Policies 2024
Lessons at Music Mountain are 30 minutes long, one on one with an instructor. During that time the student will be taught the curriculum through the book and other handouts. At the end of the lesson, the student will be given a lesson plan in the form of a Practice Log which details what the student needs to practice during the week. When a student has practiced for a set amount of time they will be rewarded by choosing a snack.
Music Mountain is only responsible for the student during their 30-minute scheduled lesson time. A parent or guardian is encouraged to stay in-store for the lesson.
Music Mountain is not responsible or liable for the student before or after their scheduled lesson time.
If a store instrument is damaged from handling, the student will be responsible for the replacement price.
Tuition Payment is due on the 4th lesson, if payment is not received we are not obligated to hold the lesson time.
At no time during the lesson will the instructor have any physical contact with the student.
Lessons are not transferable from one student to another.
Music Mountain Attendance Policies
We will allow one missed lesson in a span of two months (8 lessons) given appropriate notice. After that students will be charged for missed lessons. A no-show results in a charged lesson.
This policy is to ensure the consistency needed to progress at one’s instrument, and because we compensate our employees for each lesson regardless of a student’s attendance.
Students are encouraged to arrive five minutes early before their scheduled lesson.
